JERRY HOWELL Obituary – Dec. 25, 1955 – Dec. 10, 2019

Jerry Wayne Howell, 63, of Henderson passed away Dec. 10, 2019 at his home.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Shane Connor and Glenn Harris officiating.
Burial followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 4-8 p.m. on Friday.
He was born Dec. 25, 1955 in Chester County, the son of Clara Mae Henley Howell and the late John Earl Howell. He attended Chester County Schools.
He went to work at Sonoco as soon as he finished school and worked there 25 years. He married Loretta Baker in 1977.
They made their home in Henderson. He was plant manager at Sonoco in Jackson. He later worked at Pictsweet and then Henderson Stamping working in production management.
He enjoyed the Tennessee Vols. Win, lose, or draw, he remained a true fan. He was a big time New York Yankee fan and Green Bay Packers fan. He had coached his children in Dixie Youth Ball and enjoyed being a “fix-it” person.   
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Loretta Baker Howell of Henderson; three sons, Jeffrey Howell of Henderson, Jeremy (Kim) Howell of Medon and Justin Howell of Jackson; two daughters, Tiffany (Dustin) Howell Adkins of Henderson and Courtney Howell of Medon; his mother, Clara Mae Henley Howell of Henderson; 11 grandchildren; and two brothers, Danny Howell and Glenn Howell both of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his father; three brothers, Van David Howell, John Michael Howell and Tony Howell; and a sister, Patty Howell.
