Jimmy Wells Grocery closed its doors on October 31 after serving Chester County and other surrounding communities for 50 years.

After 50 years of serving the community, Jimmy Wells Grocery on State Route 200 in Mifflin closed its doors on October 31.
Tim Wells, son of Jimmy Wells, has been managing the store, and said that his family is getting older and it is just time for him and his family to pursue other things.
Tim was seven years old when his father opened up the store.
After the passing of his dad, he picked up what his father loved.
“It’s something that was a passion of my dad’s,” he said.
He wants to thank all of the people of Chester County, Lexington and Jackson that supported the store.
“We’ve been very fortunate over the years. We appreciate their support,” he said.
