Freda Kathryn Harwell Smith Phillips Eldridge, 93, died Oct. 21, 2020 at Woodruff Manor Nursing Home, Woodruff, S.C.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 26, at Enville Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Rushing and Bro. Ronnie Davidson officiating.
Burial was in Milledgeville Cemetery.
She was born in Enville on Oct. 10, 1927 daughter of Arlie Lee and Vora Cleo Bridges Harwell.
She lived in Memphis in her earlier years and worked for Smith & Nephew for nearly 20 years.
She then moved to Reagan and set up an income tax business and an Avon business, retiring from both in 2009. She was a member of Enville Baptist Church and served as church clerk from 2005-2010.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Raymond W. Smith, Aug, 1991, Bill Phillips, April 2006, and Edward Eldridge, May 2013; a brother, Max Harwell; and one sister, Geneva Maness.
She leaves her son, Michael R. (Tracie) Smith of Moore, S.C.; a daughter, Brenda G. Smith of Memphis; one grandson, Robert Edward Lee Smith of Grand Junction, Colo., and a great-granddaughter, Hayley Michelle Smith of Memphis.
