Letter To The Editor: America Needs Peace and Unity

Dear Editor,
America recently observed 9/11. That day will always be on our minds and in our hearts. We will never forget the evil of that day and the times – 8:45, 9:05, 9:35 and 10:03. The lives of 2,977 people were lost in an unforgivable act.
After 9/11, America came together to help those in need. The love and prayers all over our nation were unbelievable. Churches were filled with people, wanting God’s comfort. After time had passed and things started to get a little better, churches began to see a slow drop in people, but why is that? God never stops for us.
Our freedom and liberty are slowly slipping away. Why is that? Because we, the people, allow politicians to lead our country toward socialism, a system run by the government rather than us. This is not good. Wake up, America, before it is too late.
Our great nation is again being tested with COVID-19. Again, we should pull together and stop letting politicians play the blame game. We are very vulnerable right now. We can not give into this. We are again dealing with tragedy. Violence is taking over our states, and why is that? Because politicians allow it. How much longer will they continue to do so.
There are countries just standing by, watching and laughing at America. We are destroying our land of freedom and liberty. I thank God every day that we live in the state of Tennessee and in the safe city of Henderson, not those cities of danger. Please pray for this nation; pray that God will keep our nation from danger and safe in his hands.
Sincerely,
Imogene Naylor
