LIFELINE Blood Services will host their Annual “Gift from the Heart” Blood Drive at their Jackson Center on February 9, from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m., at 183 Sterling Farms Dr. in Jackson. All donors will receive a t-shirt, a box of chocolates and a petit four from Two Sister’s Bakery.
Donors can also register to win a Julie Vos bracelet and earrings from Robert’s Jewelers, dinner for two at Old Town Spaghetti Store, a floral arrangement from J. Kent Freeman Floral Design, and an overnight stay at the DoubleTree Hotel including a meal at Twist Restaurant.
“LIFELINE wants YOU to be our Valentine! We invite you to give a gift from the heart and donate. You never know if you could be the one who will save the life of a friend or a family member!” said Melinda Reid, Marketing Manager with LIFELINE Blood Services.
LIFELINE is currently experiencing low donor turnout and blood usage has been high which is why we are in need of all blood types.
LIFELINE provides blood services to 21 West Tennessee counties and 14 emergency helicopter service locations. Annually, the Center collects approximately 26,000 blood products (red cell units, platelets, plasma, etc.) to meet the needs of patients. Of that total, 75% of those products are collected on the bloodmobiles across West Tennessee. LIFELINE also provides reference lab and cross-matching services to healthcare facilities.
