LINDA WEBB Obituary – Sept. 28, 1952 – Dec. 30, 2022

Linda Ruth Webb, 70, of Jackson passed away Friday Dec. 30, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Jan. 5 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel. Burial will follow at Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family received friends at East Main from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
She was born in Brownsville, Sept. 28, 1952, daughter of the late Herschel Clifford and Ruthie Alline Griffin Holmes. She grew up and attended school in Gleason.
She moved to Henderson and attended Jacks Creek Apostolic Church and sang in a gospel trio with her sisters Sandra and Janice. She moved to Jackson in 2016 and attended Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.
She worked at Chester County Sportswear for a time and was also a waitress. She was primarily a homemaker and loved her daughter and grandchildren.
She loved animals, flowers, music and enjoying life.
She is survived by her daughter, Misty Azbell of Piedmont, Ala.; brother, Udell Holmes of Dyersburg; two sisters, Sandra Bates of Jackson and Janice Haskins of Mercer; and three grandchildren, John Tyler Holmes, Gracelyn Hope Azbell and Hayden Lee Biddy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Royce Holmes, Bobby Holmes, Billy Holmes, and Ray Holmes; and three sisters, Rachel Cupples, Gracie Barner, and Carolyn Holmes.
