Two Chester County Educators received grants from the Leaders Education Foundation. Chester County Teacher Mary Hicks, left photo, was awarded a $1,000 grant to provide Eagle Eye News with a good quality camera for filming. Professor Matt Barker was awarded a $1,000 L.E.A.D.S. Grant from Leaders Credit Union for the Small Group Communication class he teaches at FHU. The class is using the grant funds to organize a fundraiser for the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. This year the fundraiser will be a 5K Run/Walk scheduled for Saturday, November 13. The class has raised over $6,000 for the Carl Perkins Center through this initiative.
