Local Chester County COVID-19 update

As of Monday, April 6, Chester County has reported a total of 2,081 COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, with 14 active and 2,018 inactive or recovered. There has been one new COVID-related death making the total 49.
Nearly 20 percent of the county’s population has reportedly received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The county reports 6,028 people, or 21.59 percent have received a vaccine locally. A total of 8.08 percent have begun the process with Series Initiation (having received at least one dose of Pfizer or Moderna) and 13.51 percent have completed the vaccine series with two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Statewide, COVID-19 positive cases total 809,692. Of that number, 784,267 have recovered and 11,866 have died. Tennessee reports a total of 2,986,402 vaccines have been administered. Of those vaccinated, 23.88 percent of Tennesseans having received at least one dose of any manufacturer vaccine, and 1,123,920 achieving Series Completion, having received two Pfizer/Moderna doses or one dose of Johnson & Johnson.
