The Chester County Highway Department was clearing trees and debris from Pleasant Springs Road Tuesday morning in Deanburg, pictured above. Crews had begun clearing the local roadways around 1:30 a.m. Monday, following a strong storm which had moved through the area. Meanwhile, Southwest Electric, pictured at right, was at Bennie Robert Barnette’s home nearby, replacing a security light. Barnette said he had at least 12 trees down, but was thankful none fell on his house and was grateful STEMC had restored services the previous day.
