Several local and neighboring agencies joined in offering a Car Seat Check at the City of Henderson Fire Department June 29. Certified safety seat technicians were there to answer questions, assist with proper fit, do installations and check for recalls on car seats. It was a free event that gave a limited number of new car seats to those who qualified. The Henderson Police Department, Henderson Fire Department, Milan Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol provided checks and installations. HPD Chief Gary Davidson said, “Thanks to everyone that showed up and got their child safety seats checked or installed. If you were not able to make it, you can always contact the Henderson Police Department at 731-989-5404 and schedule a time to have your seat installation checked or have a seat installed.”
