She was born March 14, 1937, in Burbank, Calif., to parents George Maxey and Odris Zu Adams.

They made their home in Henderson where Mr. Armour was a Ranger and later Superintendent at Chickasaw State Park. She also worked at the park as a secretary beginning in the 1960s. She loved Chickasaw State Park and considered it her home, as the family lived there until Mr. Armour’s death in 1969. She retired from the park as a Clerk 2 in 2014.
She loved her family and looked forward to holidays when they were all together. She enjoyed watching movies and game shows, playing Yahtzee with her family and eating Little Debbie Cakes. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Henderson. She was extremely close to her husband’s family and considered them HER family.
