Marsh Barham sentenced to 18 years with the Tennessee Department of Corrections

Marsh Barham, 50, 358 Baughn St., pled guilty Jan. 8, 2020, to numerous violations in regards to a 2018 traffic stop, and was sentenced to serve a total of 18 years with the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
According to a press release from the Henderson Police Department, a vehicle driven by Marsh Barham was stopped by HPD officers in January of 2018, for a light law violation. During the course of the traffic stop, officers detected the smell of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers did search the vehicle and discovered numerous illegal drugs inside, including marijuana, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, various prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, cash and a handgun. Barham was arrested that night and charged with several different offenses.
Chief of Police Gary A. Davidson issued the following, “The initial traffic stop in January 2018 was an example of good police work. Officers did exactly what they are sworn and trained to do, the combination of their actions and the Judicial System has now succeeded to putting a convicted felon and drug dealer in prison for several years. Today the City of Henderson is better thanks to this conviction.”
