MILDRED LOTT Obituary – Aug. 18, 1924 – May 17, 2023

Mildred Louise Sanders Lott, 98 years and eight months, of Finger passed away Wednesday morning May 17, 2023 at her home. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Stuart Doyle officiating. Burial followed at Old Friendship Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Friday.
She was born Aug. 18, 1924 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Lafayett and Nettie Sanders. She attended Phillips School near Montezuma and graduated from Chester County High School in 1942. She married Robert “Jack” Lott in July 1942 and made their home near Finger. She retired from Salant and Salant in Henderson after 40 years of employment. She and Jack loved going to the Finger square dance and canning the vegetables they grew in their garden.  
She is survived by a son, Jerry (Linda) Lott of Selmer; one daughter, Lola (Tommy) Doyle of Bethel Springs; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn; one brother-in-law, A.B. (Emogene) Lott; six grandchildren, Brandi McAdams, Sandi Burnett, Kristi Davidson, Kevin Lott, Jeremy Doyle and Stuart Doyle; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Paul Lott in 2004; sisters, Linnie Lott and Ruby Ward; one brother, James Sanders; and a great-granddaughter, Aliyah Doyle in 2021.
