Chester County dominated the field this week and is ready to keep up that talent showcase in the coming weeks. The football team took on Freedom Prep of Memphis, coming out on top with a score of 35-6. This game was a great start to what looks like an excellent finish to the season. Our last two games consist of Lexington and Northside, which will hopefully be great victories to put our boys in a nice position going into playoffs.
On another kind of field, the Chester County Girls’ Soccer team will play in their district tournament on Tuesday and Thursday this week. Currently, they are placed as the No.1 seed, being undefeated in the district during the regular season. We hope they can come out on top against Northside and presumably McNairy on Thursday in the District Championship.
On the other hand, the volleyball team suffered a heartbreaking loss to end their season in the district semi-finals against Southside. They lost 13-15 in the fifth set. They played their hearts out, and we are so proud of this team, especially the seniors who left everything out on the court in their final game.
Fall break is finally here, and our students are very excited. Many have already made their way to the beach, the mountains, or family’s houses. Others have clocked in hours at practice or work. As we hit the quarter mark of this year, we are excited to see what lies ahead and what exciting new things will happen after this break. Stay tuned to hear more great news after fall break!
