Trimester exams are Friday, Nov. 1. Students who are exempt do not have to attend school on Nov. 1. If you have and would like to keep perfect attendance, you must do one of the three – plan a college visit, complete a service work project or job shadow. Please turn in evidence of completion Monday, Nov. 4, to the office. Do not forget to fill out the form from the office to do so.
CCHS Project Graduation 2020 World Champion Cajun Cookers Restaurant announces a Thanksgiving fundraiser. Order and payment deadline is Nov. 15. Pick up will be from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the high school cafeteria.
The Miss Henderson Pageant Results are as follows: Third Runner Up – Auna Hannis, Second Runner Up – Lillie McCarver, First Runner Up – Haley Oliver and Miss Henderson 2019 – Karah Shannon. Congratulations to all who participated and attended to make this year’s pageant a success.
Any sophomore who received an email inviting them to participate in Beta must be prompt in meeting the deadlines for completing service projects, which will ensure a seat on the bus to the National Beta Convention Nov. 21-23 in Nashville.
Some members of the National English Honors Society will be sent to the annual Young Writers’ Conference on Nov. 1.
 Anyone interested in being a lead character or lead dancer for the spring musical, “Crazy for You,” will need to stop by Mrs. Carol Ann Williams class and pick up an information sheet. Practices will begin the first week of November.  There are ensemble spots and backstage jobs available in the upcoming December musical, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” If anyone is interested, please see Mrs. Hicks for a schedule. 
Boys’ basketball tryouts for anyone not currently on the team will be from 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. Anyone wanting to try out will need to bring a current physical, or they will not be allowed to try out. Football players wanting to tryout will have a separate tryout once their season has ended. If you have any questions contact Coach Howard.
The CCHS girls’ and boys’ teams ran in the region 7 large schools cross country meet at Crockett County High School. The top 10 individuals with the fastest times and the top three teams with the fastest times qualify to compete at the TSSAA state meet. There were 164 girls and boys runners competing. Both teams are coached by Stephanie Hatch. The girls’ season ended at the regionals held at Crockett County High School. Jenna Johnson placed 25th with a time of 23:43, Leighanne Dugger placed 36th with 25:25 and Julia Briggs placed 39th with 25:30. Sara Messenger completed with a time of 28:13; Lalia Goodman, with 28:49; Emma Grace Miller, with 29:38; and Milla Mounce, with 30:38.
The boys’ team placed first out of 12 teams in the region with an impressive team score of 24. Medalists were Zach Belew in 12th, Carter Welch in seventh, Tucker Allen in sixth, Gideon McManus in second and Evan Allen in first. These five medalists along with seniors Alex Tucker and TJ Hall will compete for the TSSAA Division 1 large schools meet at the beautiful Percy Warner Steeplechase Cross Country Course in Nashville at 10: 45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. State bound! Eagle Cross Country Walk Out will begin at 2:05 p.m. Thursday.
The girls’ soccer team won 5-2 on Monday and won over South Gibson. Girls’ soccer versus Greeneville will begin at 4 p.m. in Murfreesboro. State bound! Eagle Soccer Walk Out will be at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct, 30.
