Despite Chester County Schools being on fall break this week, many students are still working. This is because homecoming is fast approaching. Each year at the highschool, the grades compete to see who will win homecoming. This includes decorating the halls, making a parade float, and designing t-shirts. Each grade decides on a theme. The senior theme is Peter Pan. The juniors’ is Western. The sophomores’ is Scooby-Doo, and the freshman theme is Space Jam. Not only do the grades compete, but they also participate in dress up days and a powderpuff game, which is when girls from all of the grades in the school compete against each other in a game of flag football. There is no school on Monday, but Tuesday is Celebrity Day. Wednesday is Holiday Day, Thursday is Disney Day, and Friday is Blue and White or Class T-Shirt day. Friday is also the day of the powderpuff game and the parade, which will go down Main Street. Friday, October 22, will be the school’s homecoming game. We will be playing the Bolivar Tigers starting at 7 p.m. Before the game, they will announce the Homecoming Court. We hope to see you there!
I once again want to thank Chester County and the City of Henderson for their continued support of CCHS.
God Bless and Go Eagles!!!
