Last week was homecoming week here at CCHS where all of the grades were a part of various competitions. Said competitions include a powder puff football game, t-shirt design, parade float design, and a hallway decoration contest as well. The sophomore class led by Coach Palmer Cox claimed victory in the Powder puff games with a stellar performance by all of the players. In the t-shirt design, the seniors took home the win with second place going to the sophomores. In the parade float competition, the seniors also won this with their float followed by the juniors who were in second place. In the hallway the juniors won, followed by the seniors. The overall winners of the homecoming festivities were the senior class.
The homecoming week was also full of other events such as a parade where students had the opportunity to decorate their vehicles and be in the parade. There was also a pep rally where students participated in many games and activities.
To end homecoming week, the football team won their game over Bolivar with a final score of 24-14 over the tigers. Evan Schippers and Chad Barham led the way on offense with impressive performances and Stephen Green had a huge game on the defensive side of the game as well.
Here at the high school, Homecoming week is a very important topic and task. That being said, I would like to congratulate everyone from every class for their hard work and dedication to making their homecoming the best it could possibly be.
I want to thank Chester County and the city of Henderson for their continued support of CCHS. God Bless and Go Eagles!
