This past Monday, the high school held its Meet The Eagles for the winter and spring sports. This is when the school showcases everybody that participates in a winter or spring sport. Sports that will be recognized include boy’s and girl’s basketball, softball, boy’s soccer, track and field, baseball, and tennis. After the players are recognized, the basketball teams will host a blue and white game to start off their respective seasons. The basketball teams will play their first game at home November 16 against Trinity Christian Academy. The girls will start at 6 and the boy’s game will follow.
On the topic of basketball, the teams are looking forward to a new season. Coach Lee Pipkin is the coach of the girl’s team. This will be her 22nd year as head coach. Coach Colin McPherson leads the way for the boys. This will be his 2nd as head coach.
On a celebratory note, the boy’s cross country competed in the state race last Friday. They placed fourth overall, only missing third place by one point. Tucker Allen placed third overall followed closely by Carter Welch at eighth, Garrett Robison at 24th, and Cade Thompson at 71st. I want to give a huge congratulations to the boy’s cross country team.
I want to thank the City of Henderson and Chester County for their continued support of CCHS
God Bless and Go Eagles!!!
