This week marks the start of basketball season here at CCHS. The girl’s team is led by Coach Lee Pipkin. The seniors for the girls are Kara Pipkin and Faith McManus. When asked about the season, Kara Pipkin said, “I do not really know what to expect this season considering we have such a young team. This season will be interesting. It had been fun watching these young girls grow. I look forward to a good season.” The boy’s team is led by seniors Carter Welch, Tony Washington, Zane Bolton and Tyricus Anderson. They are coached by Colin McPherson. When asked what to expect this season, Welch said, “We have a lot of experience this year only losing one senior. The goal is to win a District Championship and then make it to substate. Our experience, talent, and depth should give us a good season.” The teams played their first game this past Tuesday and play their next one this coming Friday at Adamsville. Be sure to support your Eagles in the following weeks as they start their seasons!
I want to give a huge thank you to the City of Henderson and Chester County for their continued support of CCHS.
God Bless and Go Eagles!!!
