This week at the high school is prom week. The annual prom will be Saturday, April 30. The theme will be “A Night On Main” where the gym will transform into an aesthetic that matches that of our downtown main street right here in Henderson. Please pray that they have a safe and fun time this weekend.
On the sports side, the tennis teams are picking up right where they left off last year. Last week, the boy’s teams picked up their 40th straight team win that stretches over last year’s and this year’s seasons combined. This great accomplishment would not have been possible if it were not for the top five seeds for the boys including Ethan Mullins, Carter Welch, Nathan Britt, Clayton Austin and Evan Eads. In the doubles bracket, the top seeds are Carter Welch and Evan Eads followed closely by the second overall seed in Ethan Mullins and Nathan Britt. On the girls’ side, they have had a very successful season as well. Their top five seeds are Emma Grace Miller, Cecily Davis, Grace Compton, Brooke Ketchum and Katie Lovelace. Their top doubles seeds are Cecily Davis and Grace Compton followed by Emma Grace Miller and Brooke Ketchum. Both teams are hoping to do well in the district and regional play for a chance to make a state match appearance. Wish them luck on their journeys.
I want to thank the city of Henderson and Chester County for their continued support of us here at Chester County High School.
God Bless and Go Eagles!
