Although school was no longer in session, many Chester County student-athletes were active on the basketball court during the winter break. The Eagles and the Eaglettes played in the Hub City Classic in Jackson, Tennessee. The Eagles played tight games against Memphis Central and Liberty Tech but came out on top to put them in the championship game. Unfortunately, they fell short of the championship title, losing to North Side, a team that is in their district. The Eaglettes had a different path, easily defeating Liberty Tech and Trinity Christian Academy. They played Crockett County for the championship and came out victorious. Last Friday, the teams split with Bolivar, the Eagles falling and the Eaglettes squeezing by with a win. We are incredibly proud of these teams. They will begin district play by hosting North and South Side this week at home on Tuesday and Friday, respectively.
The Miss Henderson Pageant will be hosted at Williams Auditorium at 7 p.m. this Thursday. Many young women will dress their best and walk the stage to see who will receive the crown. Admission is $5 for adults and children five and up. We encourage you to come watch these young women!
Now that winter break is over, I am pleased to be able to announce that Mrs. Carol Ann Williams is the December Chester County High School Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Carol Ann teaches English and aids significantly in the production of the Theater Department’s plays and musicals. She is beloved by the students and staff, and we are fortunate to have her.
