Hi! The Chester County Junior High School news article is back. Here are a few things about the CCJHS world.
Soccer team member Kiersten Holly says that she misses the team and the wonderful games they had and encourages more athletes to try out for this fun and amazing sport.
Now, let us go to reading. Dr. Shull is a fun and very, very smart reading teacher. She wants the best work from her students and rewards us for good work. She is very fair. If we are not done, she gives us extra time to finish. She tries to understand her students the best she can.
Next, we will talk about Mrs. Schmitt. She is the health teacher here at CCJHS. She is very fun, and she teaches us very well. She is teaching us about bullying now. It is a fun and interesting class.
4-H officers for each class are awaiting appointments. CASE testing went well.
Fall break was a success, and school is still going well. Full capacity in the lunchroom for each grade is happening now! Students are very excited to see all their friends.
We had picture day this week at the junior high. Tuesday was sixth grade, Wednesday was seventh grade, Thursday was eighth grade and Friday was for teachers and for makeup pictures of students.
Girls and boys basketball had their first game in Lexington Thursday, Oct. 22.
A fair division of sixth, seventh and eighth graders were on each team. Their abilities seem to be off to a great start so far, and this year’s teams seem as if they may have a very good turnout. Our Junior Varsity girls’ team won, 14-11. Our Varsity girls team was sadly defeated. On the other hand, our Varsity boys’ team walked away with a win, 67-41. The latest basketball game was Monday, Oct. 26, at home against Hardin County.
