It is hard to believe we are wrapping up another school year at East Chester! It has definitely been a year like no other! Our students, teachers, administrators and support staff have all pulled together and made what could have been a sad year into something pretty special. We have loved deeper, taught harder and cleaned more than we ever have in our lives.
Kindergarten is wrapping up the year by celebrating theme days. Some of the special days that students have celebrated include Circus Day, Bubble Day, Pirate Day and Dinosaur Day. These days are filled with lots of learning and fun. These days help the students to review all of the things the students have learned throughout the year and give them some fun memories they will never forget.
First grade has been busy reviewing all they have learned in first grade and prepping for second grade! They had a blast at Field Day thanks to Coach Chad and Coach Matt!
Second grade is wrapping up the school year with a lot of fun activities. Second grade teachers feel so blessed to complete this year with their sweet students. Second grade teacher Mrs. Carrie Sells is retiring this year to spend some extra time with her sweet granddaughter. Second grade and all of East Chester will sure miss her sweet and loving spirit.
Third grade students have been busy reading “The Lemonade War” and preparing for Market Day.
Last week we had our annual Field Day! In a year where everything has seemed a little off and different, it felt so normal to be outside getting to enjoy all of the happy smiling faces of the students and teachers of East Chester. We had new games and activities added to some of our old favorites. All of East Chester wants to say a big thank you to Coach Chad and Coach Matt for organizing this special day for us!
