Belated birthdays are Todd Clayton and Carol Mainers on Sept. 7, Tyler Evans on Sept. 9, Neal Escue on Sept. 10, Betty Quarles and Sherry Escue on Sept. 11 and Kimberly Weaver and Tim Harris on Sept. 22. Hope you all had a great birthday. Birthdays this week are Coley Tully on Sept. 14, April Collins and Carol Ann Perkins on Sept. 15, Cayce Perkins and Larry Shackleford on Sept. 17 and Jimmy Concialdi on Sept. 19.
Prayers requested for Kristen Jones, Woodie Deming and Joyce Stewart. If you need prayers or want to put a friend or relative on our list please call me at 879-9777. Do not forget to pray for our law enforcement, county and state government, our military and our nation.
Our condolences to the Anita Fish family. Ms. Anita passed away Sept. 2 at her home here in Deanburg. She left to go to her Father in Heaven, and I think this is the first time she has moved out of Deanburg. All of us that knew her have loved her. She was a very sweet, kind lady and a devoted Christian. She had four children and lots of grand and great-grandchildren who adored her. She loved all of the get-togethers with the family. You will be missed! She is with her son Freddie, who passed away a few years ago, and her husband now! She was a member of Pleasant Springs United Methodist Church of Deanburg.
I found a plaque on the Facebook page of Deanburg Baptist Church, and if you are acquainted with the Gideons, you will find this interesting. I did not know how they were formed. This is their website if you want to contribute a donation or find out more information. They give away millions of bibles. www.gideons.org
Also, Deanburg Baptist is sponsoring another event at the church at 5 p.m. Sept. 18. Trevor Thomas is an actor, comic and entertainer. He travels America creating characters that people can laugh with, cry with and learn from. His theme is always Jesus Christ. Come and join them to be entertained and worship with them. The church is located at 645 Deanburg Rd. Just off Highway 100 out of Henderson. To learn more about Trevor, his website is www.trevorthomaslive.com.
Have a blessed week, and I will see you back here next week! God bless!
