I hope everyone had a great week. We sure had enough rain and cold weather.
No birthdays this week, but I want to say a happy anniversary to Jeremy and Nicole Evans. I hope it is wonderful and you have many more years together.
Please continue to pray for our neighbors and friends in our community and others: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Carolyn Brasfield, Jim Ruth, Eloise Murley, Samantha Mosier, Woodie Deming, Betty Quarles, Ms. June Davis, Carolyn Goff, Johnny Roach and his son, Johnny, Jr.
Please reach out to our shut-ins and nursing home folks. Also, remember our military, our law enforcement and first responders, and do not forget the ones that have lost loved ones. Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens and in this way will fulfill the law of Christ.”
My condolences to the family of one of my classmates, Mary Lou Orick Collins. She left us for her celestial home this past week. She was a wonderful, sweet lady and will be missed by a lot of people.
Our devotion this week: “‘When Haman saw that Mordecai would not bow down or show him respect, he was filled with rage. He had learned of Mordecai’s nationality, so he decided it was not enough to lay hands on Mordecai alone. Instead, he looked for a way to destroy all the Jews throughout the entire empire of Xerxes.’ — Esther 3:5-6. Once you are aware of your pride and how it affects your prejudices, what are you going to do about it? The very nature of prejudicial thoughts are based upon how someone is different than you. So begin there. Start by looking for ways in which you are similar and how you can relate to them. Break down those barriers by seeking out relationships which are based on blessing the other person regardless of their response.” – From Daily Bible Devotion
Quote of the week: “Keep your face always toward the sunshine – and shadows will fall behind you.” – Walt Whitman
Remember our community club building, located at 385 Deanburg Rd. off Hwy. 100 west of Chickasaw, for your special events. We have a very nice large building and have a furnished kitchen with nice comfortable chairs and tables. There is a pavilion outside and playground for children. Call Judy Loftis to schedule. Her number is 989-5823. Our next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5.
Have a blessed, happy week ahead.
Call me PLEASE with your events you want to share along with birthdays, anniversaries, birth announcements, etc. My number is 879-9777.
