Hello to everyone in Deanburg and our county. I apologize for not having my news in last week. I just plain forgot until it was too late…senior moment I guess!
Prayers please for these: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt,  Jim Ruth, Eloise Murley, Samantha Mosier and Woodie Deming. Also please pray for our sick with the COVID-19 and other ailments.
Our birthday this week is Cora Talbot on Oct. 22. Mike Mays would have celebrated on Oct. 23, but he is having his birthday in heaven this year! Thinking of and praying for his family.
Early voting is going on right now. If you can not make it on Nov. 3, please vote early! Let your voice be heard!
Our devotion: “Heaven is real! Revelation 21-22 tell us something of this wonderful place that Jesus is preparing for His saints,  ‘the holy city,’ ‘that great city, the holy Jerusalem.’ Oh, the shining brightness of it!’ Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as Crystal’! It is a literal city with walls of shining jasper, 144 cubits high! The streets are pure gold, and the foundations of the wall of the city are decorated with every kind of precious stone. The city has twelve great gates, each one a pearl! The wonderful city is 12,000 furloughs square. There are ten furloughs to an English mile (eight to a Roman mile); so that city far surpasses all the cities of earth in size. It is 1500 miles long, 1500 miles wide, and 1500 miles high. Oh, the gleaming beauty of that wonderful place! A river runs through the city, coming out from the throne of God and of Christ. And on each side of the river are the trees of life which bear twelve kinds of fruit and bring forth their fruit every month and whose leaves are healing leaves—for the healing of the nations. The river is the pure water of life without a germ and without a stain, but clear as crystal. No doubt we saints of God will eat the fruit and drink of the water in real bodies. Our feet will walk upon those streets. Our hands will touch the cheeks of our loved ones. Our arms will embrace them again. Every longing will be satisfied.” From Bible Facts About Heaven by Dr. John R. Rice, with prayer that God may use this message to comfort you and bless your heart with the message of Heaven, the beautiful, prepared place not far away to which Jesus will take all who trust themselves to Him to save and keep. I hope this is reassuring to you who wonder if you will see your loved ones when you get to Heaven. It has me. I know I will be with my darling daughter that has gone on before me, my parents and all my loved ones! The book is great if you want to purchase it. The address is Sword of the Lord Publishers, P.O. Box 1099, Murfreesboro, TN 37133; www.swordofthelord.com. God bless each of you this week! Stay safe! My number is 879-9777 to call with any news you want to share!
