New Year greetings from Deanburg!

I hope you had a great new year celebration with family. As I know everyone is hoping for a much better year.
Prayers please for these folks: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Jim Ruth, Eloise Murley, Samantha Mosier, Woodie Deming, Mrs. Mary Gilchrist and others in her family and Jere Pitts. If there is anyone you want to add to our prayer list, please call or text me.
Birthdays this week are Madison Hopper on Jan. 9, Kim Howell on Jan. 10 and Ann Helton Ruth Landers, Todd Julian and Melanie Morton on Jan. 12.
Happy anniversary to Mitzi and Eric Bastin.
Our devotion for the week: “Come to Me with a teachable spirit, eager to be changed. A closer walk with Me is a life of continual newness. Do not cling to old ways as you step into a new year. Instead, seek My Face with an open mind, knowing that your journey with Me involves being transformed by the renewing of your mind. As you focus your thoughts on Me, be aware that I am fully attentive to you. I see you with a steady eye because My attention span is infinite. I know and understand you completely; My thoughts embrace you in everlasting Love. I also know the plans I have for you: plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Give yourself fully to this adventure of increasing attentiveness to My Presence. Romans 12:2; Jeremiah 29:11.” – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
Here are some great quotes from “God’s Little Instruction Book,” Inspiration and Wisdom for a Happy and Fulfilled Life:
“A marriage may be made in Heaven, but the maintenance must be done on earth.”
Verse: “Nevertheless, let everyone of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.” – Ephesians 5:33
“Patience is the ability to keep your motor idling when you feel like stripping your gears. Verse: He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.” – Proverbs 16:32.
Enjoy each day as if it were your last! I pray the loss of lives from COVID-19 will soon stop and pray the vaccine will work.
Let us pray for our nation. It is on the brink of destruction from all we have ever known!
God bless each of you!
