It was snowing as I wrote this Monday afternoon. It would look pretty if we did not have all the ice under it and were still be able to get outside. I have been inside so much and had started feeling like getting out some but now this.
Prayers please for these folks: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Jim Ruth, Eloise Murley, Samantha Mosier, Woodie Deming, Jere Pitts and Jim Hanson. I finally got over my pneumonia and was able to get steroid shots for some of my pain. I am so thankful. If there is anyone you want to add to our prayer list, please call or text me. Continue to pray for everyone with COVID.
Happy birthday to Norma Tully this week on Feb. 18. I hope it is a very happy day for you!
I pray the COVID numbers are getting better in our neighborhood, less cases and light cases if you get it. Thank goodness people are being vaccinated. It will be awhile before I can get it after having pneumonia and the steroid shots. Let us pray for all the folks that have lost loved ones and friends to this virus.
Our devotion this week: “Serve One Another For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. (NLT) ( Galatians 5:13 )
This passage tells us a story about people who struggled to say committed to their new faith, easily being pulled back into old habits and ways. They wanted to abuse the message of freedom to mean that they were not required to have any restraint in their lives. Paul corrects this erroneous thinking and reminds them what the true reason for the spiritual freedom Christ had died for: they are free so that they may be able to serve others in love!”
