This week’s birthdays are Pat (Bratcher) Dotson on July 29 and my dear cousin Doris Siler on Aug. 1. Have a blessed birthday everyone!!
Bethel Baptist Church at 125 St. Rt. 125 will have VBS from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, July 31, ages from preschool through sixth grade. Family meal will be at 6 p.m.
Our prayer list: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Woodie Deming, Samantha Mosier, Joyce Stewart, Doris Siler and TC Carter (friend of ours on hospice). Also, remember our military, law enforcement and first responders. Remember our great nation and be in prayer for those lost ones who have lost loved ones.
Start praying for our schools as they will be staring back in session very soon. I pray things will be better than last year.
Our devotion: “‘O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.’ (NLT) ( Psalm 63:1 )
“Earnestly Searching” – “Have you been stuck in a rut lately? You are angered easily, your patience runs thin, and perhaps your optimism has worn down. This happens when we don’t connect with the Lord on a regular basis. Especially during the summer and our schedules get hectic, taking time out to spend with God can be often overlooked. If you haven’t in a while, spend some time, first thing in the morning praying to God and reading His word. You will see a noticeable difference in your patience, optimism, and Grace.” Taken from http://www.jctrois.com/dailybibledevotion/devotion.html?devo=AqMws0cMFv
Hope everyone has a great week! Remember to schedule your special events at the Deanburg Community center with Judy Loftis at 989-5823.
