HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone! Hope you all have a great day! Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends to share a day of rejoicing for all the blessings of the year. Also, you have feasting, football games, and parades. Share your bounty with the less fortunate, especially the home bound and homeless, but you know we should show our thankfulness every day. As this verse says, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrews 13:15
Only one birthday this week, and that is Mary Hanson, a dear friend of mine. I hope it is the best ever.
Please remember the ones on our prayers list: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Carolyn Brasfield, Jim Ruth, Eloise Murley, Samantha Mosier, Woodie Deming, Betty Quarles, Ms. June Davis, Johnny Roach and his son Johnny, Jr. Please remember to pray for our shut-ins and nursing home folks. Also, pray for our military, our law enforcement and first responder, and do not forget the ones that have lost loved ones.
Quote of the week: “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” – Maria Robinson
Our devotion for this week: “This is the key to rising above the circumstances: focus on what you do have, not what you don’t have. Rejoice in the Lord! Give thanks for the cross and the empty tomb! Give thanks for His unfailing love! I truly believe the greatest witnesses for Christ are those who have experienced the worst of life and yet have the best of attitudes, continuing to praise God no matter what. Make this Thanksgiving a Thanksgiving to remember as you set aside time to glorify the King. He will be honored, and you will be blessed.” – Pastor Jeff Schreve, From His Heart Ministries: Crosswalk.com
Thanks for reading and following my news each week. May God bless and keep you safe and healthy.
