Greetings from the big metropolis  of Deanburg. Yeah! Well, nothing much happening here, or at least I do not know anything. I want to encourage our community residents to give me some news. I do not know what is going on if you do not tell me. Call with anything special in your families, like anniversaries or births of those sweet  babies; you know you want everyone  to know about that. Call me about a sick loved one you want prayers for or deaths that you want prayers for the family, and I love posting birthdays. All events from churches, homecomings, community yard sales (need those two-three weeks in advance). Hope I hear from you soon. My number is 879-9777; text or call.
Our birthdays this week are Kristen Mays on May 25, JT Appling on May 27 and Sharon Mays on May 29. May Beauty and happiness surround you on your day and beyond!
People on our prayer list: Kristen Jones, Brianna Landers, Woodie Deming, Sarah Knipper and Joyce Stewart. As always pray for our first responders, our law enforcement, our state, local leaders and national leaders and our great nation.
Our devotion this week: “Foolishness” – “‘A youngster’s heart is filled with foolishness, but physical discipline will drive it far away.’ (NLT) (Proverbs 22:15)
“This proverb is filled with valuable wisdom and can be applied with the struggles of parenting a teenager.  Students who have time on their hands often find themselves getting into trouble.  Implementing a physical routine such as training for a marathon, playing tennis or working a job requiring physical labor and is good experience for them.  It trains a teenager to be disciplined, focused on time management, and works out their extra energy.  It’s a rough road walking alongside and parenting a teen, but this wisdom is practical when applied.” Download this app to get your daily devotions: http://www.jctrois.com/dailybibledevotion
Quote of Thomas Jefferson: “When angry, count to ten, before you speak; if still angry to hundred.”
May God bless you richly. Have a great week!
Happy Memorial Day!
