Hello from Enville! Hopefully, everyone is enjoying the sunshine this week. It is supposed to be dry for the most part, but I think rain is in the forecast for the weekend. I am so glad the sleet and snow are gone for a while and hope it stays gone for a long while. I am not a big fan of that kind of weather. It seems we can take the cold better if the sun is shining. I hope everyone had a good week; the kiddos are back in school. They only went for two days last week, so I hope they are adjusting well.
Monday, Jan. 17, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It is a federal holiday in the U.S. marking the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. He was actually born on Jan. 15, 1929, but under the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, the holiday is observed on the third Monday of January, so the date varies each year.
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Tim Knight and William Ashbrook on Jan. 15. We hope you enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the Cynthia Vogt family and continue prayers for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Ashley Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Ann Pugh, Eugene Springer, Jimmy Robertson, Genny Sue Martin, Inez Cash, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Tim Harris, Roger and Sue Henson, those who have lost loved ones, those you may know who are sick, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers and military, our schools and, as always, each other. If you have someone to add to the prayer list or news to share, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
The Enville Community Club meets the first Tuesday of each month. We had our first meeting, and we have a great year planned. If you are interested in helping your community be a better place to live, we welcome you to come and join us. We meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Enville Community Center and have a potluck meal each month.
Have a blessed week everyone and stay warm!
