Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week. Well, not much is going on in our town right now, except getting ready for ole Santa to come next week. I know all the kiddos are getting anxious for the big night and the surprises on Christmas morning. Some folks went to see the lights at Chickasaw and Pickwick. I heard they were beautiful. We did not get there to see them this year. We hate that we missed them.
Danny and I enjoyed our trip to the mountains last week. It snowed, and it was beautiful. We had a lazy week, which we both enjoyed very much. We called it our “retirement trip.” Danny retired from Delta Faucet on Dec. 6. His retirement reception was very nice, and he appreciated it so much. Now that we are back, we have so many things to do around the house. We do not hardly know where to start, but at least we will have more time to do them. Congratulations, Danny!
If you see these folks out and about, wish them a Happy Birthday – Ron Maness and Cory Finley on Dec. 23. Happy Anniversary to James and Debbie Vinson on Dec. 21 and Danny and Kay Swafford on Dec. 24. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please be in prayer for the Wade family. Also, pray for Linda and Christy Phillips, Jean Crowell, Agnes Smith, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Jo Marie Holmes, Mary Lee Guyon, Niecie Pearson, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Danny and Janice Keen, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Neal Brewer, Tim Harris, Novelee Massengill, Harold James, Ann Vanhoose, Jim Perrin, Roger and Sue Henson, those who have lost loved ones, those who can’t be home for the holidays, the ones who will be alone for Christmas, our first responders, firefighters and, as always, each other.
If you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125, or if you have news to share, call me at 688-5129. If you or someone you know would be interested in the Enville Cafe, call Jackey Bethune at 608-6406.
Have a blessed week everyone!
