Hello from Enville! I hope you all had a wonderful week and a very happy Valentine’s Day. The temperatures are rising, and I am sure that is welcomed by everyone. Also, the days are getting longer, and I love that!
The Enville Community Club invites all our candidates to come speak at our meeting at 6:30 p.m. on April 5 at the community center. There will be a potluck meal served. The Enville Volunteer Fire Department will have smoke detectors available for anyone in the area who needs them. These should last 10 years without replacing the battery. Call Fire Chief Thomas Gilham at 608-0696 to get your name down. The Enville Volunteer Fire Department will have a spaghetti supper and cakewalk fundraiser beginning at 5 p.m. March 5 at the community center. Mark your calendars and come support them!
Monday, Feb. 21, is President’s Day. It is officially Washington’s Birthday but is popularly recognized as honoring George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. This is a federal holiday, and most all federal employees will have the day off work.
Happy birthday wishes go to Tony Murphy on Feb. 18, Jackie Hutcherson and Lynn Canaday on Feb. 20, Harry Timmer on Feb. 22 and Parker Herndon on Feb. 24. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please continue prayers for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Linda and Robert Johnson, Ashley Pugh, Ann Pugh, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Genny Sue Martin, Kaye Ritter, Inez Cash, Jimmy Robertson, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Shirley Hampton, Della Nixon, Glenda Moore, Tim Harris, Roger and Sue Henson, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military and schools and, as always, each other.
If you have news, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5129. Have a blessed week everyone!
