Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week. Well, it finally happened. Daylight Saving Time arrived, and I am so glad. It will probably take a little time to adjust, but we will and will love the daylight later in the evenings. Now, I am ready for Spring to arrive on Sunday, March 20, hopefully bringing warm temperatures with it. What did you all think about the snow we got over the weekend? It was pretty and short lived, and I was glad. I am done with all that stuff; personally, I want to get to camping, so I want all these below freezing temperatures to be gone!
I hope you remember to wear your green on Thursday for St. Patrick’s Day, or you just might get pinched!
The Enville Community Club invites all candidates to come speak at our meeting on April 5; each candidate will be given a short time to tell us about themselves, what they will do if elected and ask for our vote. Anyone who wishes to come hear what they have to say is welcome. Bring a dish for the potluck dinner which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the community center.
The Enville Volunteer Fire Department will have 10 year smoke detectors available soon. If you need them, contact Fire Chief Thomas Gilham at 608-0696 to get your name on a list.
Happy birthday wishes go to Stephanie Middleton, Julie Ooley and Kelly Swafford on March 18, Ford Frank on March 20 and Jack O’Neal and Leslie Maness Harris on March 22. Happy anniversary to David and Linda Milford on March 20. We hope you all enjoy your special day! If you see these folks, give them a big shout out!
Please pray for the family of Jimmy Carter and continue prayers for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Ashley Pugh, Inez Cash, Genny Sue Martin, Jimmy Robertson, Ann Pugh, Agnes Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Tim Harris, Roger and Sue Henson, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other.
Danny and I enjoyed a few days out of town for our anniversary. It is always nice to get away for some R&R.
Dixie Youth Softball/Baseball has picked teams and will be starting up soon. We have enjoyed watching Reece play Chester County Junior High School volleyball, which is nearing the end of the season. She is also busy with her softball travel team. Blake and Brayden are on the 2022 Chester County Track and Field team. Their schedule starts soon. If you have news, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
Have a blessed week everyone!
