Hello from Enville! Hopefully everyone is having a great week. Some mornings have been a little too cool to sit outside for our morning coffee, and I am not liking that much, but we should have some warmer temperatures along. It is getting dark earlier in the evenings already; we have seen our last sunset after 7 p.m. for this season. I am not looking forward to our time change in November where we will fall back one hour. It will really be dark early then. I think we will need to mow the grass one more time this year to get the taller weeds gone; then, we can retire the lawn mower until next Spring.
I hope all students and teachers are enjoying their Fall Break from school and will return safely and ready to learn on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
Mark your calendars for Nov. 5. The Enville Volunteer Fire Department is having a fish fry and cakewalk. They will also serve chicken strips for those who do not eat fish. This will take place at 4 p.m. at the Enville Community Center.
Happy Birthday wishes go to Ricky Holder on Oct. 14, Judy Pugh on Oct. 15, Debbie Bishop and Robert Smith on Oct. 16, Madison O’Neal and Sherry Webb on Oct. 17 and Deb Finley on Oct. 20. Happy Anniversary to our daughter and son-in-law Kelley and April Collins on Oct. 14. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Continue prayers for Deb Finley, Lisa Bishop, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Nicole Thompson, Amanda Johnson, Florence Stublaski, Ashley Pugh, Ann Pugh, Emily Freeman, Kathy Emerson, Rick Ooley, Carolyn Wright, Linda and Robert Johnson, Tim Harris, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Jimmy Robertson, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board and, as always, each other.
If you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125, or if you have news, call me at 608-3058.
Have a blessed week everyone!
