Hello from Enville! I hope you all had a great week. School is back in full swing this week, and I hope the students are adjusting well and ready to learn. They are in the last half of the school year. Now that the holidays are over, maybe we will know what day it actually is! We had so many Saturdays and Sundays, and Thursday felt like Monday, so I am glad to get my mind back on schedule.
There is not much going on in our town this week. The Enville Community Club had their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, Jan. 7. We enjoyed a soup, sandwich and dessert meal. We discussed plans for the upcoming year. If interested in becoming a member, please attend a meeting. We meet at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month.
Happy birthday wishes go to Cathy Allen on Jan. 11 and Christy Phillips and William Ashbrook on Jan. 15.
Please pray for the Williams/Ward families, Jean Crowell, Agnes Smith, Christy and Linda Phillips, Mary Lee Guyon, Niecie Pearson, Martha Alexander, Steve and Ann Denbow, Jo Marie Holmes, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Gerald Russom, Doris Weeks, Dennis Harwell, Ann Vanhoose, Neal Brewer, Tim Harris, Danny and Janice Keen, Roger and Sue Henson, those who have lost loved ones, our military and law enforcement families, firefighters and first responders, nursing home families, our country and, as always, each other.
If you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125, or if you have news to share or want add someone to the prayer list, call me at 688-5129.
If you or someone you know is interested in the cafe/store in Enville, call Jackey Bethune at 608-6406.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
