Hello from Enville! Hopefully, everyone had a nice, but cold week! I am ready for the temperatures to warm back up. I do not like these below freezing temperatures. I think by Thanksgiving day it will be a bit warmer and partly sunny. That will be nice as we will have several family members at our house, and it is always good to be able to enjoy the outdoors. If you get your paper before Thanksgiving, I hope y’all have a blessed day, but if it is after Thanksgiving, I hope y’all had a blessed day with family.
This year is nearing the end, and Christmas will be here before we know it. I am already seeing Christmas trees in windows and some decorations outside. Facebook is festive with folks getting their decorating done, I will start the day after Thanksgiving!
Happy birthday wishes go to Rachel Gilham on Nov. 29 and Rick Ooley on Dec. 1. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the family of Tim Austin, who is Jeff Finley’s brother-in-law, and they are laying his sister-in-law, Deb Finley to rest today (Friday). These families definitely needs our prayers! Continue prayers for Lisa Bishop, Linda and Robert Johnson, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Nicole Thompson, Amanda Johnson, Rick Ooley, Mike Pugh, Loretta Plunk, Larry and Priscilla Gilbert, Jimmy Robertson, Tim Harris, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Carolyn Wright, Blake Thompson, Emily Freeman, Kathy Emerson, Ashley Pugh, Ann Pugh, Florence Stublaski, all those who are sick with the flu and other illnesses, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, school bus transportation and, as always, each other.
Chester County schools are out this week for Thanksgiving Break. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy. The Chester County Junior High basketball games are in full swing, and we enjoy watching them play, especially our granddaughter, Reece. Both boys and girls are doing well!
If you have news to share or someone to add to the prayer list, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
Have a great Turkey Day and week!
