Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week.
The ole’ groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, did not see his shadow on Feb. 2, “signifying an early Spring according to folklore. Since his first prediction in 1887 through this year, Phil has seen his shadow 104 times, while he has failed to spot it on just 20 occasions. Ten years are missing from the record, but Phil issued forecasts without exception. It is the second year in a row Phil has not seen his shadow and the first time on record in consecutive years. Phil’s forecast for an early spring seems fitting considering the lack of winter weather so far,” says Jason Samenow of the Washington Post. Sunday and Monday, we had temperatures over 70 degrees. It was just gorgeous! The weather man says we are in for some rain, two to three inches by mid week. Our yard was just drying up a little. Oh well, we will take what we get!
Just a reminder that Valentine’s Day is next week. Do not forget that special someone in your life!
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Jim Frye, Luke Keen and Annie Beth Ashbrook on Feb. 8, Cameron Finley and Michael Swafford on Feb. 11 and Mildred Goodwin on Feb. 12. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
