Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week, a happy Valentine’s Day and a good President’s Day if you had the day off work. The weather has improved tremendously, although it was predicted to have a little more rain on Tuesday. It is not as much as we have had. We enjoyed the sunshine over the weekend. It is a beautiful sight to the eyes. The waters can begin receding, and when it goes down enough for us to get to our river lots, the cleanup process will begin.
This month is flying by, as they all probably will, but it just brings us closer to spring and the time change, so I’m not complaining yet. When Spring and Summer get here, it can slow down. I have seen trees budding and buttercups blooming, but I have not seen any Red Breast Robbins yet. When we start seeing them in our yards, then you know it is spring!
Happy birthday wishes go to Harry Timmer on Feb. 22, Parker Herndon on Feb. 24, Carolyn Wright on Feb. 25 and Annie Massengill on Feb. 27. Happy anniversary to Teddy and Ann Hollin on Feb. 27. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Continue prayers for Jean Crowell, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Agnes Smith, Linda and Christy Phillips, Mary Lee Guyon, Niecie Pearson, Jo Marie Holmes, Danny and Janice Keen, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Harold and Janice Maness, Tim Harris, Ann Vanhoose, Dennis Harwell, Steve Denbow, Martha Alexander, Roger and Sue Henson, the Teddy Williams family, our country, military, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders and, as always, each other.
Ash Wednesday begins on Feb. 26. It marks the start of the Lenten period leading up to Easter when Christians believe Jesus was resurrected. Many churches have studies and special services during the Lenten period.
If you have news to share, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
Have a blessed week everyone!
