Hello from Enville. I hope you all had a great week.
Happy Spring to everyone! The temperatures are up and down. It seems we can not get a break from the rain and cold weather. I am so ready for a solid week of sunshine and warm temperatures, but it does not look like that is going to happen. I actually hung my humming bird feeders Saturday. I was on Google, and it said to put them out the middle of March, so I am ready for them to make an appearance. I guess I had better go stock up on sugar!
This virus is serious. No known cases around us as of yet, and I surely hope we do not have any. Praying for those who are affected by it. The country is in turmoil right now. I can see being concerned and taking precautions but not taking it to the extreme of buying everything the stores have. I already had the things on hand, like hand sanitizer, soap, Lysol spray, sanitizing wipes and toilet paper. We use them every day. I do not understand why folks did not have this stuff already. We are praying continuously for God to remove this from us, restore good health to everyone and shield our family and friends. We had special prayer at church on Sunday, as did many others. God hears and answers our prayers, so keep them going.
The town of Enville wanted me to let everyone know that the tornado sirens will be tested at noon each Wednesday weather permitting. If you hear them, this is normal. They will be tested each week.
Happy birthday wishes go to Ford Frank on March 20, Leslie Maness Harris and Jack O’Neal on March 22 and Jodie Christensen on March 25. Happy Anniversary to Dave and Lynda Milford on March 20. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Keep the prayers coming for Linda and Christy Phillips, Jean Crowell, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Niecie Pearson, Florence Stublaski, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Jo Marie Holmes, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Doris Weeks, Tim Harris, Ann Vanhoose, Dennis Harwell, Steve Denbow, Neal Brewer, Roger and Sue Henson, those who have lost loved ones, our nursing home families who cannot have visitors at this time, those affected by the Covid 19 virus, everyone who is having anxiety, our doctors, nurses and all healthcare workers, our first responders, firefighters and law enforcement, our country and, as always, each other.
The Enville United Methodist Church had a great turnout for their dinner and singing. They thank everyone who came out for good food and fellowship.
If you have news, call me at 688-5129. To rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125. If you are interested in the Enville Cafe, call Jackey Bethune at 608-6406. It is almost fishing season and this would be a great place to stop for breakfast or stock up on snacks, drinks and ice on your way to the river!
Spring break is next week for Chester County Schools. If you are traveling, please be safe and have a great vacation! Have a blessed week everyone.
