Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week. The weather has been warm and sunny, except for Sunday afternoon. We had storms all around. Enville did not get any damage as far as I know, but surrounding areas had trees down and other damage. Prayers for all who did! Some businesses are open; restaurants, parks and salons are open. Some retail stores are as well, and the mall in Jackson has some stores open. I am really glad to see this, as they have been closed now for several weeks. Thanks to Governor Lee for allowing us some sort of normal life. We should practice the guidelines he has set into place and protect yourself as you see fit. Pray for this epidemic to cease and pray for yours and everyone’s safety.
May is here, and decorations are in full swing. Mother’s Day is Sunday. I wish all mothers out there a very nice day. If you still have your mother, please give her a call, card or flowers. Sometimes, just a visit will be appreciated. Danny and I miss our moms. We always got together on Mother’s Day and every other holiday. Our parents lived close by, so it was easy to see them often. Not everyone is that lucky. Happy Mother’s Day to you all!
Attention: Please everyone get your census filled out and mailed back in or submitted online. It is very important to do this. Our town of Enville as well as the county depends on this for revenue. It is essential to get this done. It does not take long, and it is pretty simple. Fill them out!
To all bee keepers out there, Gerald Russom here in Enville wants to sell some bees. If interested, you can reach him at 731-616-0110.
The Johnson Cemetery is looking well groomed. The decoration will be the third Sunday of May; remember to mail your donations to Nancy Kent Freeman, P.O. Box 144, Enville, TN 38332. Please send or give your contributions wherever you have loved ones buried. It takes a lot of work and funds to keep the cemeteries maintained. The Chester County Bank in Enville is closed now, as many of you sent your donations there. There is no more Chester County Bank; they sold. If you or someone you know wants to donate, you can call me, and I can direct you to the person you can send them to. Please let your relatives who do not live here know this. My phone number is at the end of this article.
The Enville Community Club hopefully will be meeting again in June. We are missing our friends, great meals and fellowship.
Happy birthday wishes go to Pete Ramey on May 9. We hope you enjoy your special day, friend!
Please continue prayers for Jean Crowell, Linda and Christy Phillips, Jo Marie Holmes, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Niecie Pearson, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Genny Sue Martin, Ann Vanhoose, Dennis Harwell, Steve Denbow, Tim Harris, Roger and Sue Henson, Neal Brewer, Novelee Massengill, anyone who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other. If you have news, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 588-5125.
Have a safe and blessed week everyone!
