Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week. The weather is very nice, and the leaves are changing colors to red, yellow, orange and brown. My favorite is the bright yellow ones. All our hummingbirds are gone, and all my feeders are cleaned and put away until spring. Fall break is over, and the kids are back in school this week. I hope you all had a fun week, but it is learning time again!
The Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Division of Forestry reminds everyone that debris burn permits are required. This began in Tennessee on Oct. 15. This is for leaf and brush pile burning. Reminding everyone to follow safety practices to prevent wildfires. Permits are available online at no charge. For larger, broadcast burning, such as forestry, agriculture and land clearing, call your local Division of Forestry burn permit phone number Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Online permits and phone numbers can be found at www.BurnSafeTN.org. Be safe, everyone, when burning!
The Enville Community will be set up for Trick or Treaters at the community center on Halloween, Oct. 31. We will be practicing social distancing, so all you ghosts and goblins come on and fill your pumpkins with candy. We will be ready for you at 5:30 p.m. The Enville Community Club will host our veterans and senior citizens dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the community center. The program will be all new this year, so mark your calendar and invite a veteran or senior!
Happy birthday wishes go to Wes Hutcherson on Oct. 23, Phyllis Russom, Noah Keen and Larry Gilbert on Oct. 26, Tanya Harwell on Oct. 28 and Malcolm Weeks and Tom Harwell on Oct. 29. Happy anniversary to Mike and Judy Pugh on Oct. 24. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
On our prayer list this week are Florence Stublaski, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice Keen, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Doris Weeks, Jean Crowell, Agnes Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Jo Marie Holmes, Inez Cash, Genny Sue Martin, Imogene Hollin, Lisa Bishop, Dean Hutcherson, Dennis Harwell, Amanda Johnson, Brother Bill Evans, Paulette Pugh, Jamie Dilday, Tim Harris, Kristen Daniel, Janet Scott, Dwayne Seaton, Jr., Wayne Bethune, Glen Butts, our firefighters and first responders, those affected by the virus, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other.
