Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week. The sunshine was wonderful, but it was cold on Monday. The wind was whipping, and it would be nice if not for that.
January is going by fast. It is over halfway gone already. Spring will be here before we know it with (hopefully) warm weather. I guess I am rushing that a little! I hope everyone who had the day off for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day enjoyed it. I am sure all the kids and teachers had a good day out of school.
Our community club cancelled its meeting for January, but they are planning to meet in February. That will be at 6:30 p.m. the first Tuesday night. Menu will be soup/chili, sandwiches and desserts. All members are invited back for the new year!
Happy Birthday wishes are sent to Lynda Milford on Jan. 22, Charlie Kent on Jan. 23, James Vinson on Jan. 24, Linnea O’Neal and Jeremy Oliver on Jan. 26. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Our family was in Pontotoc, Miss., last weekend. It was a sad occasion. We were there for the funeral of our beloved brother-in-law, Billy Massey a.k.a. Catfish. He died from complications of COVID. Please keep my sister Joan and our family in your prayers. Also, pray for the family of Pastor Jim Osborne and continue prayers for Jean Crowell, Lisa Bishop, Dean Hutcherson, Amanda Johnson, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Danny and Janice Keen, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Robert Smith, Jo Marie Holmes, Inez Cash, Genny Sue Martin, Paulette Pugh, Loretta Plunk, Jimmy Robertson, Tim Harris, Joann Jones, Wayne Bethune, our firefighters, first responders and law enforcement, our country, those who have lost loved ones, those affected by the virus and other illnesses, our healthcare workers, veterans, National Guards and, as always, each other.
If you have news to share, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125. Everyone have a blessed week. This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
