Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week. Another month has come to an end and half of the year is gone already. I can not believe time is going so fast. Independence Day is Sunday, July 4. It is a federal holiday in the U. S. that commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States on July 4, 1776. I hope you get to spend it with family and friends. Some celebrations include fireworks displays, concerts, picnics, parades and barbeques. Lots of folks will be spending the weekend at the lake and river, camping and boating. Whatever you all do, please have a fun and safe Fourth of July weekend and exercise caution when doing fireworks at home!
On July 17, someone special will celebrate their 100th birthday, this special lady is Mrs. Inez Cash. There will be a party in her honor at the Enville Community Center from 1-4 p.m. July 17. Everyone is invited to come and help Mrs. Inez celebrate this very special occasion!
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Jeff Finley on July 4, Mike Pugh on July 5, Nish Herndon on July 6 and Shane Harwell on July 8. Happy Anniversary to Harold and Frankie Finley on July 2, Thomas and Pattie Gilham on July 3 and Joey and Rebecca Ashbrook on July 7. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the family of Robert Patrick and continue prayers for Agnes Smith, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Mitch Maness, Genny Sue Martin, Jimmy Robertson, Danny and Janice Keen, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Linda and Robert Johnson, Mary Lee Guyon, Amanda Johnson, Inez Cash, Roy Middleton, Lisa Bishop, Jo Marie Holmes, Tim Harris, Roger Henson, Tim Hampton, all those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers and military and, as always, each other.
Aug. 28 will be our Enville Wild Goose Shindig scheduled for 4-9 p.m. Barbeque pork, chicken, bologna, hamburgers and hotdogs will be available, and we will have a silent auction, a cakewalk, music, dancing and more. Please come and have a good time of food and fellowship.
If you have news to share, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125. Have a blessed week everyone!
