Hello from Enville!
I hope you all had a great week. The weather has been pleasant this week with a good breeze and a little rain for our gardens and crops. Chester County Schools will start in less than three weeks. I can not believe it is almost here. The summer passed so fast. We have school clothes and supplies to shop for in such little time. I hope everyone will be ready. Some will be going to new classes and schools this year. Hopefully, they will adjust well!
Everyone is invited to come help Mrs. Inez Cash celebrate her 100th birthday on Saturday, July 17, at the Enville Community Center. This will be from 1-3 p.m. This is a special time for her and her family, so please come and join in on this wonderful occasion!
The Enville Community Club and Enville Volunteer Fire Department will have a fundraiser. The Enville Wild Goose Shindig will be on Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Enville Community Center from 4-9 p.m. There will be barbeque pork, chicken, bologna, hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, popcorn and drinks.
We will start serving at 4 p.m. with the cakewalk at 6 p.m. There will be a silent auction ending at 8 p.m., a 50/50 drawing will take place at 8:30 p.m., and the music/dance featuring Bo Jack and his band will begin at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Everyone come out and enjoy the fellowship, food and festivities. Hope to see you there!
Happy birthday wishes go to Nick Weatherington on July 16, Inez Cash and Doris Jackson on July 17, Brandy Cherry on July 20 and David Wade on July 22. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please keep your prayers coming for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Agnes Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Mitch Maness, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Roy Middleton, Jimmy Robertson, Genny Sue Martin, Inez Cash, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Jo Marie Holmes, Tim Hampton, Roger Henson, Tim Harris, those you may know who need prayer, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers and military and, as always, each other.
If you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125, or if you have news to share, call me at 688-5129.
