Hello from Enville!
I hope everyone had a great week. The temperatures have been a pleasant part of our week, but after the rain, it turned off cold. Happy Thanksgiving to all! We had our Thanksgiving meal with Danny’s family on Sunday afternoon at our daughter, April Collins’s, home. It was delicious, and we enjoyed being with our family. We will have my family at our house on Thanksgiving Day. We have around 30 there to eat. We always enjoy being with each other and, of course, the food!
Danny and I really enjoyed our trip to the mountains last week. The trees were gorgeous, and the scenery was breathtaking as usual. The weather was great the first part of the week. We did not even need a jacket when we were out and about. It did rain a little on Thursday afternoon and got cold, but the sunshine was back on Friday. Gatlinburg never disappoints!
School is out all this week. I am sure that does not make the kids or staff mad. Some may be traveling to grandparents house for the holiday. I pray for safety and a good time!
Enville sends Happy Birthday wishes to Rachel Gilham on Nov. 29, Rick Ooley on Dec. 1 and Linda Wade on Dec. 2. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the families of Gail Durbin and Neal Maness. Also, continue prayers for Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Inez Cash, Ann Pugh, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Linda and Robert Johnson, Janice and Danny Keen, Jo Marie Holmes, Jerry O’Neal, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Ashley Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Genny Sue Martin, Jimmy Robertson, Zenda White, Eugene Springer, Tim Harris, Roger and Sue Henson, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other.
If you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125, or if you have news, birthdays or prayer requests, call me at 608-3058.
Have a blessed week everyone!
