Hello to my family and friends. It is a blessing to be with you one more day.
“Spring” arrived on Thursday, March 19. I can not remember if it was raining or not, but you know what? It does not even matter! What matters is our Father is still in control; it is not determined by what is going on in our world today. Before we go any farther today, let us say the Lord’s Prayer together: “Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.” My grandmother always said, “A family that prays together stays together!” Yes! We are family!
As we think about the families that this coronavirus has attacked and the ones who has lost loved ones, keep them in your prayers. You know that there are a lot of negative things about the coronavirus, but there is one major good thing – it has caused a lot of families to have more family time together. The children are out of school; some of us are working from home; and this would be a great time to reconnect with each other.
The city would like to thank the Chester County school system and Chester County Head Start for the drive-by meals you provide for children. Keep up the great work.
The city would like to say Happy Birthday to Liberty DeFilippo, CEO of Creative Kids Learning Center, on March 28; Wanda Martin, a Head Start Teacher in Chester County, on March 29; and Dakota Gower on March 28. He is the son of Penny and the late Danny Gower. May the Lord bless all you to see many more birthdays. The city would like to take this time to wish all of you that had birthdays for the month of March a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Remember to be safe. Pray for our elderly, health providers, Armed Forces, children, parents, and everyone that you know. I love all of you!
If you live in the City of Henderson and have news about your families, birthdays, anniversaries, announcements or things happening in the City, I need to hear from you. Call me at 989-1907 and leave your message. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
