Hello to my family and friends. This is a beautiful day! Why? Because it the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it! Thank you, Lord, for all of the beautiful white snow, rain and the sunny weather. You know exactly what we need.
I am thanking God for taking care of us and our animals during the snow and ice. It was so cold. The city of Henderson and Chester County did not have to wonder when the water would be safe to drink or have to melt any of the snow for water, and our electric did not go out. Thank God and Southwest Electric for keeping us with electricity. Thank God for water and food. Remember to continue to pray for the ones that do not have water or electricity because of the snow and ice.
It is the last week of the month of February. YEA! This means that spring is around the corner. I hope that all of you had a wonderful week and that you took some time out of your days to spend with your family. My grandmother Zelma Bass always said, “A family that prays together, stays together.” You can also add, “If a family plays together, they will have fun together.” With the months getting warmer, it is almost time for the softball/baseball season to begin. So, parents, keep an eye open and keep checking the paper to see if there will be more information about Dixie Youth softball/baseball team signup. You may also call 989-5672 for more information.

On March 2, 56 years ago I was blessed to have a baby brother. His name is Dennis Brown. Your family and big sister would like to wish you a happy birthday.
On the prayer list this week: the state of Texas, our children, teachers, families, our men and women who are serving our country and also the incarcerated.
Remember to patronize with our local businesses here in town; let us try to support our own as much as we can. If you live in the City of Henderson and have news about your families, birthdays, anniversaries, announcements or things happening in the City, I need to hear from you.
