Hello to everyone! Greetings from the City. “I will bless the Lord at all times.” This week is a special week. It is the week that we are celebrating the birth of Jesus. It is all about Him. So in this week’s article, the City would like to wish all a MERRY, MERRY, CHRISTMAS. So on the birthday list this week: Dec. 25 – Happy Birthday, JESUS!!!! Let us keep the love of Christ shed abroad in our hearts as we spread that love to others. Let us remember those hurting or less fortunate than us and reach out a kind helping hand to those in need.
The members of J. P. Baptist Church located in Henderson and the City of Henderson would like to welcome Rev. Kelvin Cummings and his lovely wife Ms. Lisa Cummings. They are from Corinth, Miss. On Oct. 24, 2021, Rev. Cummings was installed as the Pastor for J. P. Baptist Church. The City of Henderson is praying that you will have a wonderful experience as the new Pastor, and we welcome you and your family with open arms. Congratulations to their former Pastor, Pastor Johnny Williamson; he was the Pastor for 23 years, and the Lord blessed him to retire in June of this year. Pastor Williamson, you will be missed. Thank you for your loyal service down through the years. We pray the Lord will continually be blessing you and the family. Pastor Cummings, thank you for accepting the responsibility to service the people of God.
